Marston Vale Line 180th Anniversary Display at Bedford Visitor Information Centre

10 June to 30 June 2026

The Marston Vale Line celebrates its 180th anniversary on 17 November 2026!

By popular demand, the special 180th Anniversary Display has opened at the Bedford Visitor Information Centre – following its premiere at the Higgins Bedford. This display is curated by the Friends of Ridgmont Station volunteers, sharing key milestones and stories for the Marston Vale Line over the decades.

The display includes a memories folder containing a selection of photos depicting places, trains and events related to the Marston Vale Line. Visitors are invited to share memories these photos evoke for them or to complete a Share Your Story postcard.

180 Memories will be published in 2027 as part of the 180th Anniversary Year.

The Visitor Information Centre is located in the former Debenham’s building on Silver Street (just a short walk from Bedford St Johns via Borough Hall & Riverside Bedford or Bedford Midland via the town centre).
